POW Coffee privacy statement

Last updated: 30 August 2026

POW Coffee takes care with your personal data. This privacy statement sets out which data we collect, why we do so, and what rights you have.

This is a translation of the Dutch original. In the event of any difference between the two versions, the Dutch version prevails.

Who we are

POW Coffee is a trade name of a sole proprietorship based in Rotterdam.

POW Coffee is the controller for the personal data collected through this website.

Which data we collect

When you sign up through our form, we collect the following data:

You provide this data yourself when filling in the form.

What we use your data for

We use your data solely to:

We do not use your data for any purpose other than those described above.

Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You give that consent actively through the checkboxes in the sign-up form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing (see below).

Who we share your data with

For processing your data we use HubSpot as our marketing platform. HubSpot stores and processes your data on our behalf. Our HubSpot environment is set to store data within the European Union (Germany). HubSpot may use sub-processors for certain supporting services; an up-to-date overview is published by HubSpot at hubspot.com/legal/subprocessors.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our site. To do so, Clarity records your behaviour on the page: mouse movements, clicks and scrolling, combined into a recording of your visit and into heatmaps. This only happens if you consent to it in the cookie banner. Microsoft acts as processor; more information is available in the Microsoft privacy statement.

We do not share your data with any other third parties. As POW Coffee grows and new suppliers are added (for example for the webshop, shipping or accounting), we will update this privacy statement and inform you about it.

Transfers outside the EEA

The data you provide yourself through the sign-up form is stored within the European Union (HubSpot, Germany).

This does not apply to Microsoft Clarity: Microsoft is a US company and may process the behavioural data outside the EEA. Microsoft applies appropriate safeguards for this, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses. If you would rather not have this, decline the cookies in the banner; Clarity is then not loaded and nothing is sent to Microsoft.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, with a maximum of 24 months after your last interaction with our communications (for example opening an email). After you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, we delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, unless we are legally required to keep it longer.

Cookies

As long as you have not made a choice in the cookie banner, we place no cookies and load no third-party code.

If you accept, we load two things. First, HubSpot's analytics code, which places four cookies (__hstc, hubspotutk, __hssrc and __hssc). Second, Microsoft Clarity, which places _clck and _clsk to recognise your visit and combine your actions into a single recording. If you decline, neither happens.

You can revise your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings button at the bottom of the homepage and the About POW page. If you withdraw your consent, we delete those cookies immediately and do not load the code again. Cookies that Microsoft places on its own domain cannot be removed from here; you manage those through your browser settings.

Your choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage, so we do not have to ask again on every visit. It contains no personal data.

When you open the sign-up form, HubSpot loads that form. This is necessary to process your sign-up and is independent of your cookie choice.

The typeface on this site is served from our own server, not from a third party.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Among other things, we use a secured platform (HubSpot) with encrypted data storage.

Consequences of not providing data

Providing your data through the sign-up form is voluntary. If you do not fill in (part of) the required fields, we cannot sign you up for our communications.

Minors

Our communications are not aimed at people under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors without the consent of a parent or guardian.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the following rights:

Would you like to exercise one of these rights, or do you have a question about how we handle your data? Send an email to info@powcoffee.nl.

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe from our communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails, or by sending an email to info@powcoffee.nl.

Changes to this privacy statement

We may adjust this privacy statement from time to time, for example when we add new services or suppliers. The date at the top of this page indicates when the statement was last updated.
